Top 20 white lies told by parents
So there is a Top 20 list of white lies that most parents tell their kids to avoid potential tantrums and stressful situations.
Apparently stressed out parents tell their children three white lies a day a study has revealed and I can absolutely believe it.
Through a study that was done to mark the launch of a new parenting show called The Davina Hour it's been revealed that parents tell little fibs to avoid tears, to get their children to hurry up when they need to be somewhere like saying "If you don't hurry up, I am going without you".
I know I've most certainly used that one, even though I would never leave without my child.
They also love to use Santa and the naughty list to keep them from misbehaving, I'm guilty of using that one too.
The funny thing is we expect our children to not lie or tell small fibs but we do it often, like being adamant that the tooth fairy came at night. Quite ironic isn't it?
I for one will keep the tooth fairy alive for as long as possible!
Take a look at the list below and tell us which white lies you've told your child!
